Argosy Delivers Efficiencies For Large Drywall Manufacturer

Situation:
This client is the largest manufacturer of gypsum in the World. They use samples of their various products in combination with collateral materials to drive revenues with some of the largest international wholesale and retail distributors. Until 3 years ago, the client fulfilled its sample/literature program in-house. A large vendor proposed the client outsource the function. According to the client's account, "The result was a disaster." Exorbitant pricing, huge numbers of back-orders, meaningless reports and poor service levels were only a few of the issues.

Challenge:
Restore confidence in a vendor-managed fulfillment program for the client, restore client credibility with the sales force and its demanding wholesale and retail revenue base while reducing costs.

Solution:

  • Our Chicago based Production/Fulfillment Center and the Argosy Team requested and were supplied vital order data from which a Scope of Work could be written.
  • Within 90 days the installation was completed. Pricing is approximately half that of the previous vendor, service levels have increased dramatically and reports are accurate facilitating further cost reductions.
